I've gotta be honest.... I very nearly bailed today, I couldn't go at my normal time of 8am, went at 9:30am and it was already a toasty 25c.... the warmest run yet, dashing between areas of shade!
Last week (which actually finished on Monday) I was completing the runs, but my breathing was poor and therefore heart rate was too high.... I slowed it down slightly today, and it felt a lot better, well into the 9mins per KM across the whole session.
I felt like I could keep going when I'd finished, it could just be I'm having a good day, but I wouldn't have dreamed of feeling like I did today 5 weeks ago, when I struggled to complete the third 1 min jog in W1 R1.
Another positive was that I do not find I ache after my runs now... I used to walk like an old man for the 36 hours after a run, now I feel so much stronger.
I do have a very little niggle in my right knee, nothing major, but its there so I may buy a support just to give it that little extra help.
Looking forward to Saturday, and can't wait to smash Monday.
See you at the finish line.
