28 whole minutes

I was pleased a month ago when I completed week 5 and that twenty minute run. I have finally done the week 8 run of 28 minutes but it's been hard. This is the second time around for me. I graduated six years ago but was forced to give up because of foot problems. I remember back then weeks 6 and 7 seemed really tough. I think one possibly gets over confident and tries to go too fast. This time I have been in no particular hurry to get to reach week 9 and do the full 30 minutes, so I repeated the runs and have had two days rest rather than one. I even thought I would be content if I always stopped at 25 minutes But a couple of days ago I did the 25 minute run and was able to speed up for the final minute as Laura suggested so I was pretty confident I could do a bit longer today, It worked. So feeling pretty chuffed except at one point I passed a reflective window and caught a glimpse of my running style; I would so like to be an elegant runner but sadly I have to face it: I am not.
