W5R2 Eight Whole Minutes!

Seriously, back in week 1 I never believed that I would be able to run for eight minutes when just one minute was a struggle!

I’m even feeling slightly excited at the thought of tackling the 20mins that’s coming up next!

I ❤️ running! :)

Well done! I completed W5R1 today. Bit anxious about the R2 and R3, but like to read that it was good 😊

Remind yourself it was actually sixteen minutes with a short walk in the middle. That’ll keep the twenty in perspective. It’s a step up but not as big a step as it looks on paper. You’ve been running 15-16 minutes for the last five runs now: the progression has been in the fact that you’ve been walking less in between. Today you only walked once: there’s only one way to reduce further from one. Psychologically it’s a huge boost when you do your first all-run 20mins with no walking. You’ll be smiling all week. But logically, in terms of PHYSICAL demand, it’s just a natural development from the progress you’ve made already. The challenge is more mental now: it’s great you’re looking forward to it as that puts the gremlins on the back foot right away. Enjoy!

Someone’s sounding like they’re getting bitten by the running bug!! 😀😀👍🏻👍🏻👏👏

Very well done! Wind back to W1 and can you ever imagine saying you’d be looking forward to running for 20 minutes? Well you are, which means half the battle is won. You’ll smash it! 💪🏻

Have fun! 😀

I never imagined I’d be looking forward to it! More like concern that I would collapse from the effort of it all!

Well done.

Just take on board that you did not run for eight minutes.......you ran for 16 minutes with a five minute brisk walking interval in the middle.......total 21 minutes.

So I will actually be doing a minute less next time!
