Well, I planned to run 5K on a new route and then phone my partner and get him to pick me up...
I ran 5K and felt fine, so I thought I'd run a bit more...and then a bit more....and then a bit more...and then I was home!
Admittedly, I walked the first 1K and the last 1K, but I was having such a lovely time listening to Rush and having a nosey into peoples' gardens, I didn't really notice the miles rolling by. I took it really slowly (about 100 minutes) and then lay in a hot bath for half an hour when I got back.
I'm sure that it's probably not really a good idea to accidentally run 10K, but I was ready to phone Him Indoors if I got knackered or sore - and I didn't need him!

Congratulations Sweet Fanny Adams on running accidentally that 10K, although you actually ran 8K, perhaps now that you have walked /ran that distance you could do Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan which at the end gets you to run non stop a 10K, well done nevertheless for your run today 🏃🏾👍
I'd like to properly run 10K - my best mate says she'll find us a flat 10K race to sign up for in the Autumn. I don't think I could run the whole route I did today - there are some killer hills and I'm too much of a wuss!
