I’m still slow though! Quickest pace on strava is 9 - just going to keep going and I guess I’ll get quicker ?

If you are having fun and enjoying the running, that is all that matters:)

The mantra is, slow and steady... and getting to those 30 minute runs safely... and you are there.. ready to head to the podium in style.

This is just the beginning and after Graduation, you will be amazed where you get to:)

We will be waiting for you !

Well done you!

Thank you - yes I’ve been plodding away and actually doing longer runs by carrying on past the 30 minutes - so actually running for about 45 minutes in total. Around where I live is very hilly too - in the Pennines. I’ve yet to test my speed on a flatter run so maybe I should cut myself some slack!

Be kind to yourself...we live Staffs Moorlands...I run faster uphill than on the flat...I had to practice before I did my first HM on the Monsal Trail 🤣🏃‍♀️

Went on a valley run today. Thought it was flat before I went. It really wasn’t! 😂 fastest pace was 8mins per Km - averaged out at 8.45

That’s what I thought - I can either embrace them and slowly make my way up them - head down - or try to avoid them. So I went with going up them - and trying to avoid looking ahead - just keep plodding!

Pace really isn't import. It feels like it should be but isn't. Keep going at a steady comfortable pace because this unlocks stamina and this endurance will naturally support you and your speed. After the programme you can mix up sessions too, like adding in a sprint session. You're doing it all right. Well done. Nearly there!
