For the first time since starting my C25K journey, I didn't complete the run. I've been beating myself up about it all day. I'm really struggling with week 7! Back to week 6 for a while!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

You know you can run for 25 minutes, so why go backwards?

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Rest, hydrate, refuel and relax and then give it another go.

The link in the guide to mental approach may be helpful.

You can do this.

Enjoy your journey.

Don’t beat yourself up about it, as most people on this forum will tell you, just treat it as a practice run. You’ll bounce back, you already know your capabilities and what you’ve achieved since week 1, stay positive, next time you’ll smash it 👍

Or just stay in week 7 for a while till it gets easier. Do all 3 runs and then see how you did after they are done. That way you don’t feel like you’re going backwards.
