So I graduated earlier this month, having not achieved quite the 5k in the time but slightly over by continuing to run when the session finished. I then had to decide between aiming for 5k in 30 minutes or just continuing to build stamina and distance. I decided stamina and distance. After a three day unplanned break this week I’ve manage to do 4 miles and 4.12 in about an hour. Plan to keep going and increasing by a mile over the next week or two and then the same again to reach 10k. I’ve started using another app for tracking my runs were it tells me how many miles I’ve completed, this is working quite well along with pre planning run routes before I set off. How are other people finding life after C25K?

Just keeping going - 3 runs a week - I am aiming to be in the 38 mins for 5K soon but mixing it up with hill training, 4K, 5K, just back from a 6K and hoping to hit 8K in the coming weeks. At some point work towards a 10K in 1hr 15 which was a time from a previous life. I use RunKeeper and Strava and GoogleFit so collecting lots of data and not dreading it as I know it is doing me good. It was windy today and only planned on a 4K but stuck out for 6K in 47mins - happy to be trotting along and this forum keeps me motivated.

Do keep your weekly training load increase within the 10% rule, as outlined in the guide to post C25k running.
It helps you avoid doing too much too soon if not following a structured plan.
