Help!

Yesterday was a rest day and I decided to go for a walk with dog. My left foot has been a little achy but assumed it’s because I’ve upped my exercise.

I did a 9k trek and on return the outside of my foot was tender over the bone to the extent I needed paracetamol in the evening.

Should I rest it a few days or pull my big girl pants on and carry on regardless??

Ouch! If it's so achy that you need painkillers, I would take an extra day or two off, just to be on the safe side. There's really no rush, best listen to your body 🙂 Hope your foot recovers soon!

As stated in the guide to the plan, if you are in pain, then stop and follow the advice on dealing with injury.

My immediate reaction is to say, keep those big girl pants firmly in your draw.

Dont even think about running until the pain has gone.

From what you've described, it could be a number of different things. You'd need to seek proper medical advice on that though.

But if you go running now, you could do far more damage. Put your feet up, have a couple of days off and see how it feels.

Fingers crossed

I’d rather be keeping to schedule. But thank you.

Hi CompTher2020, sorry to hear about you’re foot. Hope it’s recovering well. You’re not going to lose any fitness for 2 weeks and after that only gradually , if you remember that advice from here. Keep your pecker up and hope you’ll be back on track, literally, soon! ☀️🌻
