Just finished Week 7 Run 2. I am really struggling with the step up to 25 minute. I managed to completed it on Week 6 Run 3, but have struggled in week 7.
My pace is the same, but I’ve had to stop for three small breathers this morning. All the way through the programme I’ve managed to completed every section, this seems a struggle!
Where am I going wrong? Any tips? I don’t need long as a breather and I was able to finish the last 40 seconds at a quicker speed today as you can see.

Hello it sounds like breathing is an issue. I’m also in week 7 and struggled in first 5 mins of a run with a tight chest. Which eased. But I did an online yoga class last Friday and that has helped since with my breathing. Maybe focus for 5mins warm up on breathing using diaphragm and into lower lungs, not chest. Good luck
and includes advice on pacing, minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
