I've never been into running, and I've let my fitness slide so badly in the last several years, so I knew C25K was going to be a struggle for me. The first few weeks were mentally challenging but as the weeks have past I'm seriously enjoying the runs, and I NEVER thought I would say that about exercise. I did the 20 minute run (W5R3) on Sunday and almost cried. I genuinely look forward to my runs, and find myself wishing I had a run on my rest day. Seeing your fitness improve weekly is so satisfying. This plan is amazing! Once I can run the 5K, I'm planning on sticking to my 3/4 runs a week and try to improve my pace, and even aim for a 10K!
My advice to anyone starting out is to stick with it. Don't overthink it because you CAN do it, you just need to get past the mental block. Some days will be better than others, but you will smash this.
