Hi, hope everyone is enjoying getting out for their runs in the sunshine? Beautiful though it is, it can make those runs feel tougher, so be kind to yourself and ease up on that pace a little!
I stumbled across this video on YouTube this afternoon, produced by the Mental Health Charity Mind. It's a short video about one persons experience using Couch to 5k which I'm sure many of us who have completed the program will relate to but hopefully will also inspire some of you tentatively setting out on your own journey! Keep going - it's worth it! πͺ
Great Post and video. Exercise has done so much for my mood. I find it a good way to take a break from life as when I am exercising, be it gym work or running my mind focuses on that and nothing else. π
Such a nice and realistic video, thank you for sharing.
I stopped looking for content on YouTube because, after my first searches for running tips, the algorithm started showing me video suggestions that I didn't like at all. Miraculous weight loss, unattainable exercise plans ... it's not the kind of thing I can relate to, and it's not even what I want. I just want to stay active, reasonably healthy (even if I'm overweight) and control my anxiety levels. I want to hear stories like these, from people like me, with realistic and achievable goals.
