Well this mornings run caught me out, last run 2 days ago I managed 40 minutes, today though my legs began to buckle at 30mins 30 seconds. I slowed down to the cool down walk, was elated 2 days ago, gutted today. Looking forward to Monday and putting today's run in the memory bank. At least my recovery is quicker now and my running speed has increased slightly.
Onwards and upwards.

It happens... don’t over think it... try a deliberately slow one, it’s really fun and leaves the legs nice and fresh for the next one. About a year into my running I managed 4 of a 5 mile run, and was deflated for a few seconds... then I realised I’d run 4 miles that I couldn’t do the year before... it’s all about perspective, celebrate the run you did.
Definitely onwards and upwards. We have these moments where it doesn't quite click but then have an opportunity to go out there again. Best of luck.
We all have those runs where, for whatever reason, there just isn't as much in the tank as we thought there was. The great thing is, it still counts, and there's always the next one. As UnfitNoMore said, concentrate on the minutes/miles you did run and not the ones you didn't and just remember how far you've come.
