Cramping calf’s

Started couch to 5k on Sunday and done my first session. However now on Tuesday my calf’s are still sore and feel like they need to cramp when they are tensed. Is this down to the type of shoes I wore? Is there anyway to combat this? I want to do my second run tonight but scared of injury. Doing a charity 5k in May hence the reason for the couch 2 5k so injury is not really an option 😩

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on stretching immediately after every run, minimising impact and hydration, all of which should help.

Enjoy your journey.
