Good evening, I started c25k in January and it was going fab, I got to week 4 run 2 and I was so so proud of myself unfortunately I developed a very bad chest infection and couldn’t run for a while. I started back last Saturday and have had to go back to week 2 I feel a bit of a failure but do not want to give up.. has anyone got any advice or guidance for me.

Many thanks

Just keep going even if you have to go back to week two. We all have set backs every so often.

As long as you don't give up its grand.

Take care.

Good 😊

I have had a swollen knee from last week so I'm out of action for a while, it happens but that's life.

It's not how many times you stop that counts, its how many times you start again. Just be kind to yourself and ease yourself back in. Theres no rush. Best wishes 👍

You can do this keep on going! The only fail is when you don't get back up again! Well done for getting back on it! X

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Failing means going back to the couch, not dealing with illness.

You have done the right thing going back to what you can manage comfortably, but you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running.

Enjoy your journey.

You're not a failure. You haven't given up, you're being sensible and easing yourself back into the programme after being ill. You've got this 💪
