W5R3 ⚠️ Euphoria Alert ⚠️

Storm Dennis you were a blast ... literally.

So, run 3 in the bag. I think I’m fitter than I give myself credit for and the plan without doubt works. Hardly out of breath, legs a bit jelly like on the warm down walk but that quickly subsided. Mentally this run feels daunting, physically it’s totally doable with a slow steady pace. To week 6 ... 😃

Great job 😊 🌟

It's definitely more mental than physical - convincing your brain what your body is capable of is tricky! 😁

Be careful with week 6, it catches some people out going back to intervals ☺

Happy running 🏃 ☺️

You can thank Dennis on completing run 3 of week 5 of C25K, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Thank you! Yes I’ve read a few posts about how people find this next run difficult. I wonder if it’s a combination of the walks giving a feeling of “complacency” after a 20 minute run.

It is, as you call it, "feeling of complacency" after running for 20 minutes, people think that going back to walking breaks run 1 of week 6 will be easy, it is not, however, as long as you take the first two runs of week 6 especially slowly, you won't have any problems. 😊 🏃🏾

Thank you. Makes sense and I certainly take it slowly 😃🐌
