Hi Jordy and welcome. 😁 I hope you enjoy the C25K running plan - it is pretty amazing. As is this forum; you will find lots of support and encouragement here.

I started running over two years ago to help with some depression I was experiencing, and for me, it has really helped. Running outdoors in nature has made a big difference, I think. Now, if I go out during a depressive episode, I definitely come back feeling β€œlighter”, and my overall mood is more stable. It is not a cure, but it has helped so much.

All the best to you and happy running. πŸ‘

Hello JordyMew, and thank you for sharing your conditions, we should all be open and honest like that! Good luck with your C25K, but you are probably fitter than i will be at the end of this program already, I know that this program and running can be a great help and after some sessions you will find the mood change that i think i am becoming addicted too.

keep us updated on your progress.

Hey Jordy, Welcome to the group and congrats on starting the plan. Read the guide but the most important thing is to take is slow and steady at first. A lot of people take off at their top speed and tire themselves out, the whole program is designed to build your stamina and get you running for 30 minutes. You are relatively young and already quite fit so you should have no problems at all :-)

I can tell you from personal experience, that for me, the mental benefits of running have been amazing. I'm quite a changed person since I started this course.

Keep posting and let us know how you are getting on, there is lots of help and support to be had here.

All the best

Tim
