Runners Knee?

Having just finished WK4R3 I found my knee was in agony, and has been ever since (4 days). I’ve not been able to complete WK5R1 yet, but really want to get out there and do it as I’m mega motivated and don’t want to lose momentum!! I’ve obviously self diagnosed myself with the help of Google, but was wondering firstly will something like voltorol help, or just mask a bigger issue, and secondly, is there any recommendations for where I should re-start the running if I have a lay off any longer than I already have? Thanks!!

The guide to the plan has advice on all the points you have raised.

Do not run in pain and do not mask pain in an effort to run.

When you are pain free, follow the advice in the guide about restarting and also minimising impact and knee strengthening exercises.

Take care.

Dont run with pain, especially not if you are making it. Read the guide and see a sports physio if it doesn't sort itself out. Visit the strength and flex forum to see how you can build up your muscles. Good luck
