Sorry to hear that you have been through so much with your health, and good for you for taking some control! Couch to 5k is a great way to get outdoors and get fit. And this community will really help you get there. Have a look at the link below. It will give you some tips on getting started.

Once you get comfortable with running, you could consider going to a Saturday morning parkrun event (there is bound to be one in your area). You don’t have to run it all - lots of people walk it or do a run/walk combo when they start. The running community is a really friendly one, and it is a great way to meet new people and even make some running friends. 😊
Good luck and enjoy!
Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
The guide to the plan linked to by Sadie-runs is essential reading.
Enjoy your journey.
Good luck Rudyroman. You will find lots of support and helpful advice on this forum.
Great decision to start C25K! It's a wonderful way to build up your fitness and get outdoors. I started back in March 2019, not really expecting to keep it up but to my amazement I really got the running bug! And this forum is great for support, advice and encouragement so keep posting - we'll be cheering you on. ☺
