Is Breathing in with mouth closed better for running. I struggle to keep mouth closed?

I have always breathed with mouth open (just slightly, not gaping open!) when running. You just have to do what feels best for you, I think. 😁

Extra protein, good for runners. 👍😂

There is advice on breathing in the guide to the plan.

Laura in the C25K podcasts says when you are running to breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose, she doesn't say anything about keeping your mouth open when running, as Unfitnomore says you could catch a lot of flies if running with your mouth open.

Does she? Never noticed! But I'm still early on. I do follow the "in for 4, out for 4" guidance but naturally tend towards in through my nose out through my mouth. Probably my yoga background... 😉
