Hi everyone, on week 3 run 2 of C25K, cant say I'm at the 'enjoying' it stage yet!! Doing well with my breathing and actually not sweating too much but what I'm struggling with is such a heavy feeling when I'm running, feels like I've got weights on my back! I am overweight but not excessively. Find its the only thing holding me back. Any suggestions welcomed.

Hmmmm. I remember feeling this a bit when I first started running. Looking back, it could have been my complete lack of fitness (I was a total couch potato before I did C25K!). The good news is, the further into the programme you go the fitter you get! So, be patient, be persistent and keep going...early days. Well done!

Tricky. Have you looked at your posture? There are some great videos on YouTube. Are you female? If so, do you have a good supportive sports bra? (Sorry, bit personal). You could also try some core body exercises on the strength and flex forum. As has been already suggested, it could just be a fitness issue that will sort itself out the further you get on the programme.
Good luck

There is a slogan I read recently in a book which I quite agree with... I love running, just not when I am doing it!
I love the feeling of achievement and the endocanabinoids racing around when you have finished give you a good 'runners high' but I don't think I got that when I first started as much, just a feeling of accomplishment. I notice my mood is very different if I have run compared to when I haven't and I love thinking about running, but the actual doing it is not as much fun as my brain tells me it is when I have finished (or before I start either!)
Are you drinking enough water? You should be drinking around 2 - 3 litres a day on both run and non run days. This helps with the sluggish feeling, but speedy is right, if you don't keep the chest bandits strapped in then it can get a bit cumbersome and feel like you have heavy weights jumping around on your shoulders (and let's face it, that is pretty much what is happening!)
Keep on going, the high will get to you sooner or later!! 😁
