Finally took the plunge

Completed my first week 1 run 1 tonight. Been thinking about it for days and finally plucked up the courage. Since November I’ve lost 16 pounds. I’m still very overweight and my age seemed against me at 56. But I did it, I took it at my own pace and I can’t believe I’ve done it. Buzzing is an understatement! Thank you for everyone who’s been honest and humble about their own journeys, you guys inspired me today to put those trainers on! 🤛🏻

That is fantastic! Well done. That first run is tough, but you’ve done one of the hardest things - actually starting the programme. Best advice I got on this forum: this is about time running not about speed. Go slow and slow down again. Just do the time. Well done.

Fantastic. Really well done for taking the first step.

That is by far the hardest run. I really didnt think I'd make it to the end when I did it.

Make sure you have your rest day and then go again :-).

Let us know how you get on
