When I was a kid I remember seeing elderly gentlemen wearing string vests, baggy shorts and plimsols running extremely slowly, barely picking up their feet. As a small child I wondered why they bothered.
Well that was the sort of run I did yesterday. Very slow and unimpressive. I told myself that, because it was beginning to get dark I was going slowly to avoid putting my feet potholes. Due to issues with finding out timings on mobile phone whilst wearing gloves I ran for what felt like ages and ages in the gloom. I then found it was 28 minutes.
But hey it was cold and I got out there. Before I did the C25K programme in 2018 I struggled to run for a minute. I would have regarded 28 minutes as miraculous. So happy new year all. Here's to a slightly faster and maybe a bit longer run next time.

Slow is good, slow means further, as you found out! And cold? Brrrrrrr that can put off the hardiest of runners but to put that behind you and get out there deserves a pat on the back and 28 mins is amazing and that’s what C25k does...it’s unbelievable. Well done you!!
