I've made it to week 7! Did W7R1 last night - but think I'm going to have to redo it. To fit running in around everything else, I've been using my Tuesday run to get from work to my Tuesday dance group. This involves running from a city centre - which is now getting busy with Christmas shoppers and across 3 main roads via traffic light crossings. In the early weeks I managed to time most of the road crossings to walk breaks and when I didn't just jogged on the spot. But now I don't have any walk breaks and last night the first two crossings were so crowded with people (mostly carrying armfuls of shopping bags) that jogging on the spot and taking up more pavement space than strictly necessary felt rather unsociable, so I just stopped.
So my question is, does anyone have any suggestions for a better way to deal with this situation? Or do I just treat my Tuesday runs as an extra run with a few breaks in it? Because I'm using this run to get from a to b at a specific time, avoiding the main roads or running at a different time isn't possible.

Blimey! Running to your dance group? that sounds like double points at least! (I run to a sit down!) In addition, playing 'frogger' by trying to cross the traffic is an added complication. I'm nowhere near as far on in the programme as you but I'd be inclined to treat the Tuesday runs as a practice, but do what you can, then (discounting Tuesday) once you've completed 3 runs in a row, move on to the next week. But flippin' well done for doing what you are doing!
Nope. No suggestions, just I can sympathise! I graduated last week and I've had to do the last 6 runs along the pavement on the A65 dodging roadkill because I couldn't find anywhere else where I could guarantee not having to stop!
I have no suggestions either, except I wouldn't do an extra run on a Tuesday if you're running on the programme on Monday or Wednesday. It might be better to get to your dance class some other way. Walking briskly?
