What a great initiative by IannodaTruffe.

It’s great support for a novice runner just completing C25k programme and of interest to all really.

It’s almost two years since I first took up the programme and thanks to the forum I have my goals and in broad terms how to proceed.Simply because I am repeating all what I call 3 phases with the exception of the build up to full Marathon phase 4.

So much detail advice available to digest of course.

All good wishes with your consolidation needs and unique programmes.

This will be a great home to find what you need.

I agree on that point Tbae, IannodaTruffe is a expert here on C25K and B210K, best person for advice you can get.

So for both of us it's around two years since we started on Healthunlocked, I remember in the early days I thought C25K was something to do with running for 25 kilometers, then I saw a feature about it on TV during a short break in a broadcast of the Great Scottish Run in 2017.

During the winter of 2017/18 during the long walks that I have been doing for years during the winter months I experimented on running for around a minute or two during a walk, for the most part they went OK, just a few niggles here and there, but not anything to worry about, having not have ran since Primary School and only a few in Secondary school I decided to start C25K with week 1 run 1 on 18th April 2018, I graduated on 18th June running along the promenade in Helensburgh, you know what happened at halfway😂😊😉

Certainly I admire you for doing C25K three times and also for having ran a half marathon, I think that was on your own or was it at a race/event run? Amazing for a guy in his mid seventies who like me had not ran for decades.

I have made sure not to repeat doing the course a second time by just running twice a week, also, I have now ran 12 parkruns, 9 at Dunfermline and 3 at Drumpelliier near Coatbridge, I am averaging 32/33 minutes at Dunfermline and 30/31 minutes at Drumpelliier and around Broadwood Loch near to where I live in Cumbernauld, just this morning I ran 31.33 on the same course as the local Santa Dash just there on Sunday, I wanted to get that run off my chest, so to speak after being a spectator on Sunday.

Good luck to you for your quest to eventually run a marathon, I have ran 4/10Ks, I am not really thinking of running a further distance.

Regards

Alan 👍

Is there anything that IannodaTruffe does which isn't incredible? 😂

As a very recent graduate, I'm so thankful for the consolidation club. It's such a good support system!
