I’m trying to stick with running three times a week though a recurrent cold has caused a few interruptions. But, what I really want to shout about is how knowing that I can regularly run for 30 mins + has given me the confidence to run in unfamiliar places. I take my stuff whenever I am away from home, and seek out new routes to follow. Once I feel properly in my stride and get better shoes, I will start running tracks as well as roads and pavements, and really see some countryside. C25K enabled this!

That's so good to hear! And I agree, it is nice to mix it up and run in unfamiliar places. The running world is your oyster.

Nice that you are still running three times a week, sorry about your cold-causing interruptions to your running, it is very nice to run in different places, especially away from home where you can also do a bit of exploring while on your runs.
When you get new shoes at a specialist sports shop, get a gait analysis and buy the recommended shoes and socks to match, that way you will find your running much more comfortable.
