So on this day last year I stepped out the front door on the start of my C25K journey.
I would never have previously called myself a runner, but nobody warned me how addictive this running malarkey could be.
It has been a massive change to my life, wellness and happiness. Over the last year not only have I graduated, but have found parkrun and joined a local running club and in a moment of insanity I also managed to sign up for the London Landmarks HM in March 2020.
Reflecting on my achievements, I say to anyone who is doubting the program, stick to it, you can do it. The plan works, and here is the proof...
38 x parkrun (8 different locations) PB 27:30
4 x volunteer at parkrun
1 x 10K @ 60:00:12
5 x 5K Trail Festival in a single day π₯΅
I also seem to have lost several inches from my waistline, and dropped 20 kilos - most welcome.
Running shoes are now cluttering my hallway, as I seem to have a shoe for road, trails, snow and a spare road shoe to even out the wear π
A big thanks to everyone on this forum, you are an inspiration.
Keep running, Steve πββοΈπ
