Monday's short run

I do like the shorter faster runs, not as much as I like the longer slower runs though, anyway, getting ahead of myself here.

Today was a short 20 minute run, I made the mistake of starting off too fast and pushing it for too long, I was surprised (astonished really) I could hold the 10kph for as long as I did, it came with a price though, I had to slow down to recover a little (2-3 minutes was enough), I then pushed it back up to 7.3kph with the odd slight increase to 7.5kph but was happy with the overall run, slightly more than 1.5 miles in 20 minutes, I'm no racing snake so I know there will be people on here a lot fast than I am but I'm happy with the way my fitness and pace are increasing. I'm on track for a mid-term sub 40 minute 5k.

I have 3 days in one of my employer's offices, my hotel has both a gym and a pool so swimming tomorrow and then a nice 30 minute run on Wednesday.

I'm hoping to see a personal trainer before I leave for the hotel today to aid in my fitness and weight loss journey.

Happy running everyone.
