Lady in a pink vest

So doing my W4R2 yesterday in the Milton Keynes area and I was doing my 5 mins warm up walk when a lady jogs past me in the opposite direction, obvs we say good morning to each other.. and after 10 mins or so (I’m running at this point) we cross paths again and she gives out a beaming smile almost as if she knows I’m doing the C25K challenge? Do you think she understood what I was doing or is it just runners politeness?

Bet she knows! She might even be still doing it herself? Someone recently suggested a secret hand signal to show you’re doing C25k- we need this!

Couldn’t agree more

Probably doesn’t matter if she is on the C25K or graduated from it or even a seasoned runner. Bet she has been where you are now. I now pass a guy running in the opposite direction from me on Saturday mornings. A like hi and nod of the head is enough to acknowledge each other surely and if you bump into each other whilst out walking or in the street it’s a conversation started. May be a friend or running partner in the future, you just never know what the future holds

I often wonder if any of the runners I pass ( in the opposite direction obviously, I don't pass anyone!) are doing c25k. We definitely need a sign 😁

I see people doing C25K a lot... I can usually tell as I run circuits and can see the run/walk happening.

Hi, I expect she either knew or suspected you were doing C25K!👍 I always try to acknowledge other runners, just a thumbs up or ‘hello’ is enough🙂 Thumbs up is easier though😊 Sometimes you get a thumbs up back, sometimes not. It’s not going to stop me doing it either way😊 Good luck!🙂👍

I think I’ll do that actually.. it’s way less energy used with a thumbs up than trying to speak mid flow. Ha ha

All runners have started somewhere! I sometimes feel I should be wearing an “in training” vest. Other runner have always been friendly and I love a thumbs up, always seems to spear me on!

After initially being scared of seasoned runners, I now realise they are in the main a very friendly bunch, whether they have been running for 5 days, 5 years or even 50 years!
