Great news you must be so pleased 😊
That's wonderful news. Isn't it great when we feel back on side with our bodies!? 👍🏻😁
That's such great news! Well done my lovely x
That's great! You're doing amazing things for your health.
Brilliant. I bet you’re more than happy. Well done 👍
Congratulations! Must feel really good, and you worked hard for it!
Fab news Vintage 👍🏻
Isn’t it just... thank you! 😊
Good work 👍 nice to see peripheral benefits
I love seeing these posts, they are just so inspirational, Well done and congratulations. Rfc x
Thank you so much 😊
Well that makes it all worthwhile. I'm very pleased for you. Well done!
Thank you 😊
Yeah, this runners stuff does help. My BP, helped by flamboyant lifestyle and perpetual refreshments, went from dangerous stroke levels to normal steady healthy flow. Funny that, eh?
"flamboyant lifestyle" I like that term!
Who would have guessed it. I’m a nurse so should know sooooooo much better. Hey ho, working in the NHS requires a shot of sugar sometimes! 😳🤪😳
Great news, hoping I'll be able to post a similar message some day 🤞
Well that's bloody brilliant! Well done, keep up the good work, your body clearly loves you for it 😊
Brilliant! I'm hoping to have the same result when I go back to my GP in September. I've been on bp meds since my daughter was born nearly 19 years ago, then GP upped them all in January because my bp was through the roof, due to stress and also white coat hypertension (was having a cataract op and they thought they might not be able to do it because of bp). He suggested running, so that's why I started and it's definitely doing the trick. Feel LOADS better, have lost a pile of weight and bp was under control a couple of months ago. He said keep going and go back in September to see if I can start reducing the meds. Fingers crossed! ( I've started getting a little light headed too. Also, don't know if there's a correlation, but Fitbit says my resting heart rate is about 8-10 beats slower than it was at the beginning of the year.)
Well done!! Sounds like it’s going so well. My resting heart rate is down to 45 which was a surprise. I haven’t lost much weight yet, building muscle I guess. But hoping it’s starts to move soon or I’m gonna be a solid slab of blah!! Trying not to fix to much on the scales. I’ve been doing that for years and it’s not worked so far 🙄
Good luck with the rest, I’ll give you a follow if that’s ok 👍🏻
Yes of course, I'll follow you too. My resting heart rate is now about 56. When I say I've lost weight, I may not have - I haven't weighed myself for YEARS, but I've dropped 3 dress sizes, so I don't care what I weigh. Will we one day be like the 'normal' people who don't have to take ANY pills for blood pressure do you think?!
Normal? Bugger that! We are fierce running machines, reducing blood pressure is our superpower 🦹🏻♂️🦹🏻♂️ 🦹🏻♂️
Yeah, I've never been normal, don't know what I was thinking! My primary reason for starting to run was to deal with stress (which is part of my blood pressure problem anyway, obvs). Doc suggested running or anti-depressants and I chose running. It's definitely helping my stressy head and I feel like I've taken control. If my blood pressure doesn't go down then it's a) NOT FAIR but also b) something I've done my utmost to tackle. I do my week 9 run 3 on Tuesday, barring disaster, then I'll be a graduate!! And then I'm going to try running while not looking like I hate it.
