Any recommendations for free running/fitness apps other than C25K? I'm thinking apps to record distances & routes and maybe some other fitness stats? Thanks.

MapMyRun is one I've used before years ago, normally run on a treadmill now so not had much use for one.

I also use Mapmyrun, but you can use other apps as well, Strava is popular, run keeper, but I like Mapmyrun.

Strava is free and easy to use and it runs along side c25k and music with no problems 😊

Are you following the C25K plan?

Yes I am, have just done run 2 of week 1, but would like to know how far I'm going on each run.

It too often proves unhelpful to use a pace/distance/route app during the programme itself (to judge from all the misery and self-doubt they seem to provoke on the forum - even though we can usually be relied upon to rush in and provide perspective and reassurance) The aim of the programme is to teach you how to run continuously and how to run sustainably and regularly, not a distance or a pace. Some people are robust enough for distance/pace info to be merely interesting, but plenty of others can be derailed by it done before they've really got a grip of a safely paced exercise strategy.

Some of them also tell you how many calories you've burned... you know where this is going... (the one I use has actually taken this information out since I started using it)

The other apps/watches etc are most effective post-graduation to provide some structure and goals then.

Not what you're looking for?
