Help!! I am just about to start week 4. I am dreading it. I am due to run in an hour and I am sitting on the sofa thinking about quitting. Week 3 was hard it took everything I had. I am not a natural runner as you can tell but I do love the feeling after. Help!!
UPDATE:
I did it!!! Thank you everyone who commented and gave me the inspiration this evening. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!! I did debate to re-do Week 3 but I took the leap. 1st run of Week 4 complete!! Yay!! Thank you ALL!! ππππππππππππππππππ

You're way ahead of me, I finished week 1 today and I know theres going to be weeks I'll have to repeat, just keep telling yourself how far you've come xx
No its not cheating, it's not a race, I think the whole point of it is to go at your own pace. I'm pretty sure most people who complete it gave to repeat a week or 2 xx
I was the same as you it was a killer for me I did feel the same trust me. But guess what I have completed C25K I do 5k parkrun on a Saturday Iβve ran race for life 5k for cancer research and now Iβm training for a 10K run so if Iβve managed to do all that so can you it does get easier your fitness will improve and your endurance will to so get your arse of the couch and get them trainers on and go running π
Lovely photo of you Foxc, as they say in the song "I'm never gonna give you up" in your case don't give up the running, perhaps you have been running too fast recently, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, have a few days off running and drink plenty of water the day before your next run which is run 1 of week 4, take that run as slowly as possible, onwards and upwards. π π
Go for it! If you really don't think you can, repeat week 3. I have so far doubted every week whether I can move on and every week I have. Start week 9 tomorrow! And believe you me, I am certainly not a natural runner either. You can do it! πββοΈ........let us know how you got on
You may find as you progress through C25K that life is easier if you don't look ahead. The best time to find out what your coach has up their sleeve for you is when you've completed your warm-up walk.
You will be fine! You can repeat if u wish! You do this programme at your own pace! However if you Completed Week 3 I would say there is no need to repeat! Just go for it! Itβs when you do not complete a run that you will need to repeat! Just take it slow and steady and you will do I! Trust the programme! It works!
That after run feeling that you love... thereβs only one way to get it! Hydrate well, run slow, have more water ready for after or carry some on the run. Run early/late... find the rain showers and run in them... whatever it takes, but just get your butt out there and doing it... youβve done a third of this, the hardest third... what are you afraid of? Would it be awful to find out how awesome you really are? The voices in your head donβt want to make the effort, they like the easy life... get those shoes on and defeat them. You can do this.
Also donβt forget thereβs loads of us ready to celebrate when you complete the next run. Go for whatever suits you and never forget weβre here for you π€
