I did w7r3 last Wednesday and should have done w8r1 on Friday but I was in some pain with my legs and decided to have a rest until yesterday. Had to repeat the w7 run as I was really struggling after minute 20 and just made it to 25 mins of running. Theres a couple of bits where I'm falling down. One is drinking enough water so have resolved myself to drinking more but the other is helping my leg muscles to stop the constant heavy leg ache. What does everyone else do for strength exercises?

NHS Strength and Flex podcasts - free, and ideal for rest days. Also good for teaching a range of stretches which you can use before and after runs as you need them.

Also, your lack of hydration can cause heavy legs. Solving one may help solve the other

Thanks. I think it's probably a bit of all as I'm not very good at looking after myself 😂 I'm going to do better this week and get w8 under my belt though!
