An eventful 2 weeks and now back running

After my Graduation run 2 weeks ago today, we had an overnight stay in Manchester only to come back to a flood in the kitchen and dining room. The insurance company were great and came out and lifted the carpets and laminate and installed dehumidifiers. Tidying up took it out of us along with preparing for a shutdown at work. Then 2 days later we were going to Harrogate for 2 nights for my sons wedding which then followed Take That with my wife at the Riverside.

I then got man flu (must be allergic to Take That) and along with the shutdown had no energy to any runs.

So today was the day to return and I managed 30 mins but much shorter distance. It wa tough going and the aching legs are back.

And I enjoyed it which I never thought I would. I must be hooked.

Gosh.. what an eventful week! Nice and nasty... I am glad that your home is getting sorted too !

Well done you, for getting out there... maybe now, start mixing the runs up a bit... 30 minutes, short runs, new routes and some lovely long slow runs which will carry on the process of building everything up!

Go you!
