Two runs in and I am surprised to find that I have managed to complete them, although very slowly. My poor thigh muscles are feeling the strain though. I hope they will settle sometime over the remaining 25 sessions. Feels very good though despite not having run since school (almost 40 years ago)

Well done for starting the journey. 👍😃 It will all settle down in time provided you stay slow. It is the secret to success. Good luck!

Hey Flump 😎 yeah the aches and pains are pretty normal if you haven't run for years. My knees went into shock 🤣
Good work and keep it up! If the pain persists longer term dont be afraid to check into a sports physio. You may need to complement running with some strengthening exercises 🤪

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on minimising impact and stretching after every run, which will help.

Dont forget to stretch after your run. Will help with aches and in time it should get better.
