W5d3 done....

So I finished the 20 minute run (w5d3), which is mega, but it was a bit of a farce.. Headphones not connecting as paired with other phone, check. Running, with phone in hand, trying to hear above the ambiant noise and traffic, check. Calf muscle aches near start, but don't stop throughout, check. At home with ice on calf muscle, check. Ordering a subway as elated but deflated, check.

Anyone else have one of those runs recently?

Forget all that stuff and revel in the fact that you just ran 20 mins DESPITE the universe's attempts to make it difficult.

Well done ! On to week 6

Haha, yep the universe was out to get me this morning. It was still a good run, my pace was actually higher than normal, over continuous km, which is crazy :) Thanks for the kind words.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran.

By the way I also had problems with my phone connection to my headphones, I had to run the Stepping stones +5k speed podcast with the phone in my left hand. It was in a park where there was no traffic sounds so I could hear Laura with no difficulty. You do what I will be doing tomorrow, go to the shop you bought the phone and hopefully the problem with the connection should be solved.

Thanks for the reply and advice - I will go steady with week 6, and watch my pace. I guess I'm nearing two thirds complete of the c25k, incredible. Never thought I could do what I've done so far, it's such a good program.

Well done you and I hope your calf muscles feel better soon. But running non stop for 20 minutes is brilliant, a real milestone in the programme, hope you're feeling very proud, if a little frustrated by life's glitches. 😅

Thanks Debston, it does feel like I'm actually achieving something now, it's a nice feeling. You have to laugh about the glitches, and also test things before you leave the house :)
