Couch to5k- the sequel.

So, yesterday I completed Run 3 of week 5- the 20 minute one! I completed c25k last October for the first time and kept running until early December and then pretty much gave up when it got cold, dark and winters. When I started running again this year, I did have an idea that I would be able to start somewhere around week 5 but after trying that, realised I needed to start from scratch again.

The good news is that the sequel is a bit of an easier watch than the original- I no longer look like I have some kind of invisible collar dragging me along, tripping and stumbling along the way. I now have trousers that hold in my wobbly tummy and make me feel the part and I also know that this episode will have a satisfactory ending, I will run 5 k by the end of this - something I couldn’t imagine last time. So if you are thinking of starting again, I would say it is worth it. If you are close to completing the 9 weeks- or have just completed it, KEEP GOING- avoid the ✅ in your head so you never need to do this again!

Well done for running 20 mins non stop, I bet it felt great to be back doing a longer run. I must admit that I am a bit worried about how I'll cope with running in the hot summer weather... Not great at getting up early which would be the obvious solution! Maybe a treadmill session when the weather is not on our side?!
