It probably depends on how much you are looking to spend, but I bought this one after researching and reading all the reviews. It's really great and has the incline facility which I think is important. You might also want to invest in a floor standing fan to sit in front of it, which is a life saver in the heat!

I don't know about makes and models but a few things to check for are :

Electric or manual incline

Safety cord

Display (what do you want to see and how)

Speed (mine does from 2kph to 14 kph)

Preset programmes (if that's your thing)

Heart rate monitor (if you want)

Comfort (walk or run on it with your running shoes, how does it feel)

Does it fold up (if you need it to, how heavy is it)

Noise (how much noise does the motor make)

Weight (of the whole thing, some are pretty heavy if you're going to have to move it)

Does it play your tunes (or a USB slot) if that's what you want..

There are loads out there, read the reviews online about reliability, maybe check your local gym to see what make they use ( they are tried and tested )

Also your price range

Hope that helps

Hello smeeagain, I looked at treadmills at the beginning of this year but didn’t want to pay a fortune. A pal who runs a lot helped me choose a reebok one gt30, which had a lot of features for the price -under £300 and good reviews. It folds up, has auto inclines etc , up to now I am very happy with it🤞👍
