Just back from W4R1. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t very anxious about my ability to run for five minutes at a time ! But......
As usual, first two runs were a struggle but I managed 5 minutes !!! Second two runs were ok and by the middle of the last 5 minutes, I actually started to settle into a rhythm and enjoy it - can’t quite believe a) that I can run for 5 minutes and that b) I enjoyed it (by the end!!).
I love this programme - it’s now feeling like it’s easier to run longer distances with a constant rhythm than the shorter runs of the early weeks - another revelation to me - a previously die-hard anti-runner....
It’s warm out there, but lovely.
Happy running folks.

That is great - I did W4R1 on Sunday and was so dreading it but I ended up really enjoying it heading out this evening after work for R2 so hope to feel the same. Since starting the programme I don't seem to have lost any weight though not that I am doing it to lose weight just get fit but I did think I might lose a couple of unwanted LBS anyone else the same??
Thank you! Good luck with R2 - sure it will be as good as the first one. I’m not sure I’ve lost any weight yet, but I feel like I might have lost inches - either way I’m feeling great and very pleased with myself so far!
I approached every week with anxiety until about week 8, when the penny finally dropped- This programme works. Have faith in it and you will be rewarded. Well done 👍😊🏃🏾♀️
