Just did W6R1

And I felt so tired! Thought it would be easier as I jogged for 20 minutes 2 days ago. But my legs ached and had no energy. It's funny how some days it's ok, but others it's a struggle. Why should this be?

Hi! I totally remember I had the exact same feeling when I did this run! I think mentally you think - oh I’ve done this so should be ok but actually your bodies still getting use to running for this relatively new amount of time. You will find your next run better I’m sure!

Great work... that run catches many runners out. The brisk walk and the conversational paced running are almost the same work for the body, so today’s workout was more cardio than your last one. The brain likes to see short runs and subconsciously we tend to increase pace a little for them.

Running is just like everything else in life, we don’t feel exactly the same every day, and neither do the runs. Some runs are tough, there could be something we did that made it so, but if not the next run is usually much smoother.

Have a great run 2.

I felt the same but in Wk7. I think I’d become complacent after runs going ok and ran every other day rather than having an extra rest day at the end of each wk. I was eating any old thing and having 2 glasses of wine the night before. Then one run was really horrible - I was so tired. Now I try and eat more carbs and no wine (or just a small one) the day before a run and feel so much better. 😀
