It's been so long

HiHi I'm running every day this month to come back into the app, been going gym for PT but haven't been running. I went straight for week 5 and have just completed run 2 on the treadmill. One of my issues with treadmill running is there's nothing to stimulate my brain so I stuck Netflix on today with a movie I wanted to see with subtitles on and it actually really worked. Time was flying by because my brain was occupied (not a problem with outdoor running for me). So that's a tip if you have trouble concentrating on a treadmill!!

If you have not been running regularly for at least six months, then it is not considered to be a good idea to run every day.

When you run the impact creates microtears in your muscles which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. No rest, no repair, no strengthening therefore increased injury risk, which is why running on consecutive days is not recommended for new runners.

Spread out your runs. Take a bit longer, but avoid injury.

Take care.

I've been going gym regularly doing similar exercises including the leg weight exercises. I also don't run hard enough for this to be a significant problem. But if anything happens I'll prove you right 😂😂

It's not about how hard you run.... and leg weight exercises are not the same as running.

IannodaTruffe has been proved right countless times, he does not need or want you to be adding to it. It's nearly always those who feel they are already fit who seem to come unstuck... the fearful just need encouragement. Following the programme means a lot more than just doing the runs because the object of the exercise is to get people running continuously for 30 minutes *on a regular basis* ie sustainably. So there's a whole lot more personal development going on for a lot of people, it's not even just about the physiology. A lot of what it offers is an education out of a boom and bust cycle.

Impact is the word you need to listen to.
