Graduation run complete..it's been a long journey :)

I completed week 9 run 3 this morning at 06.30 hours. What a lovely time to run. It was a really enjoyable experience. No breathing problems, no aches and niggles just slow and steady around my usual loop. I managed to continue to complete my second 5 k this week in 43.39 and ran my fastest ever km (last one) in 7.50 wow!

It seems a long while since I was running in the freezing cold along muddy paths. Along the way I have spooked pheasants, amused the local park crows and frightened a poor squirrel into losing half a sandwich he had just triumphantly snatched from the pavement ( I will never forget the look of sadness on his little face bless).

The Proclaimers were telling me they would "walk 500 miles" as I ran along the prom and as I got to my final 3 minutes Supergrass were feeling "Alright" and so was I :D

It has been worth every minute, from the point where I was mortified as a running race sped past me as I struggled to run for 90 seconds to today..the journey has been great. I would encourage anyone to take up this wonderful programme.

Good and bad days..dig in..keep going and check out this forum for excellent advice...you can do it and when you get there it's a fantastic feeling. Thanks to all who have given me advice and encouragement. So happy :)

Will do and I'll have a look at the 10K forum. I also have it in my head to do a triathlon but got to get better at swimming and bike riding first lol.

Congratulations :)

It's amazing to think back to those first few tentative self-conscious knackering sessions and realise just how far you've come.

And running to 5k today- well done :)

Consolidate the 3 x 30 minute runs for a few weeks, it's a great base to build up.

Good luck GRADUATE :)

Thank you. Hubby has planned out a route for me on Sunday and has even offered to take me and wait for me at 6am. He's on week 3 but running on the running machine at moment. He's going to help me keep training for June. Also want to try Parkrun and a run in the woods with the doggies. 😊

Woo hoo, well done, big congratulations 😊all down to your hard work and determination 😊
