OK, so here's a thing. I have a Garmin VivoActive 3 which, on the whole, does everything I want of it. One thing that slightly baffles me is its VO² Max estimate.

Since starting my C25K journey, I have got faster, can run farther and for longer, and have shed 6.5kg. Despite all of these improvements, my VO² Max estimate has fallen from a 'high'of 37 down to 29.

I know these things are basically 'scientific' best guesses, but can anyone she'd any light on my steady 'decline'?

I’ve had my Garmin since February, I am faster, stronger, run for longer, my resting heart rate is lower..... and yet my VO2 max is stuck at 32. It once bobbed up to 33 for two days the returned to 32. I’ve given up looking at it to be honest!

I'm the same, got mine mid-January. Every other stat is going in the right direction apart from that one. Mind you, it also says I sleep solidly from about 7pm...

I’d be very shocked if the real VO2max hasn’t risen. Intervals may confuse it, I dunno. I wouldn’t worry though.

There are various calculators online if you google. I just did one that gave me a much better score than Garmin
