You might find a foam roller works.

I’d definitely say foam roller is worth trying.

I’m suffering with the same issue as you - I got to week6. I gave it a week to recover but it wasn’t any better when I went out yesterday- very irritating! So I’ll give it a bit longer this time (perhaps 10 days) and continue with the stretches, ice packs and dreaded foam roller! Good luck with your recovery - would a sports physio be able to help if it’s a recurring problem?

A mild muscle strain takes 7 to 10 days so try a few more days rest. The most sensible thing would be to see a physio. They could give you a better idea on what grade of strain you have, how long it will take and then exercises to help in the future.
Hope you mend soon
