I've read the posts about downloading the NHS podcasts. But the music they put on there is so annoying. Such a shame. I was loving the app.
App not working : I've read the posts about... - Couch to 5K
App not working
If you go to the BBC sports website you can find links to the C25k apps with Jo Whiley, Michael Johnson and others. You can play your own music from your smart phone and the instructions come in over the top.
Enjoy, it’s a great programme.
What happened to your app, there have been a few complaints of app not working 😢
Welcome to the forum.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes links to both the app and podcasts which are not to your liking, but also includes a link to a spreadsheet view of the plan, which, if all else fails, you could use with a timer.
The Runkeeper app can be programmed to do intervals, so you could use that to do C25K with your own music, if you wish.
I hope you find something that works for you.
Many of us old timers had no choice but to use the podcasts.........we survived.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi Hola2. I have also had app problems because of internet connection problems on my route. I used the podcast mostly but on days where I longed for my choice of music, I switched to the app but kept a simple stopwatch running on my phone so if the podcast crashed at least I knew how long I had to keep running for.
I had the voice of Jo Whiley and chose my own music, can download running music from BBC sounds for free to listen off line
I had Sarah Milikan and silence in between her instructions, I thought at first I’d need music and spent a bit of time working out what I might want to listen to and then realised I loved the quietness. I don’t run fast so my runs began to feel very peaceful (albeit physically hard work). I tend to see mindfulness as a bit of a trend /fad but it definitely feels nicely zen like.
