Today was meant to be week 7 run 2. And because it was 25 minute run, decided to it at a park run. I did week 6 run 2 at a park run as well and did that just under 40 mins. Well today I couldn’t manage running for 25 mins and in the end completed it just over 41 minutes.
On Wednesday I think I over did it. I did a 25 minute run and I did it at an amazing pace, which was probably the best I’ve ever done, just over 10 minute per mile. I was exhausted afterwards and I have had a cold since Wednesday. I was coughing and spluttering all the way around today. I shouldn’t have gone out.
Do you just repeat that run or do you repeat the week? Is it ok to not go out when feeling unwell?

Great job under the circumstances... 41 is a good time for us newbies a few weeks after sitting on that damn couch.
Personally I’d just repeat the run as it was illness that stopped you completing, and not a lack of running fitness. There’s no need to repeat the week for sure.
The rule of thumb is if the cold is affecting you below the neck, rest... if not run. If I know that running will suck, I don’t run... sometimes I get an unexpected tough run of course, so I don’t need any more.
Sounds like it was on your chest, so rest and recover... your legs will appreciate a couple or a few days off.
You maybe weren't 100% fit enough to run at parkrun , give yourself a few days rest and just repeat that run no need to repeat the full week good luck 😊😊
