Aches & pains

I did W9R1 yesterday & have noticed an ache in my left hip. I think this started happening after the 25 min + runs over the last couple of weeks. I always try to stretch after each run but i wondered if there's anything I should be doing in particular to help with the achy hip? Thanks!

We get niggles as our bodies notices we’re doing more If you have your rest day you should be ok. Be sure to keep moving though As you get stronger with continued running (and walking! Try and walk more 👍) these niggles should ease off Don’t overdo it. Keep your pace down. There’s no hurry, no need to push 🙂

Obviously, if your hip, doesn’t Improve you’ll have to rest We’re not doctors so if your hip doesn’t Improve then see the doc

misswobble has said it all.

I assume that by now you have proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.

Thanks both for the good advice. I was analysed & told I had a neutral gait. I bought the shoes they recommended. It's probably best to slow down a bit (I'm already slow!) & rest a couple of days. I'll also google some tips on stretching to help with the aches. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
