Having achieved all runs up until week 5 run 1 with no problems, I am shocked to find I cannot get up to the 8 minute run in week 5 run 2. Feeling fed up! Has anyone struggled at this point? Any advice?

Don’t worry. You can push through It’s quite common to get bogged down at some point, but keep going Re-run the ones you’ve been unable to do if needs be Go nice and steady. No hurry 👍

A lot of this is physiological. Your head is telling you that you can’t do it. But believe me your body can handle it no problem. Thinking positively as you run helps an awful lot. Break down the 8 minutes in your head. Count them off until 4 minutes and then count them down. Tell yourself you just have 4 minutes left, 3,2,1 etc. as your counting the minutes off start telling yourself that you can do this, tell yourself that you could do another 8 no problem. Keep thinking strong positive thoughts.
