Starting this tommorow morning, feeling nervous but excited at the same time , really looking forward to making positive healthy changes , I'm fed up with looking overweight it has affected my confidence massively my problem is also that I comfort eat and it's chocolate and cakes all the sugary stuff I've been in a negative cycle with this now and need to sort myself out now - wish me luck

Good luck. Take your time, enjoy the process and give yourself a pat on the back every time you get those trainers on and get out of the house. :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Welcome and enjoy that first run. Take it nice and slowly... speed is for after the plan, this is all about fitness and health while you become a runner.

Your nutrition is likely to change as you learn what works for you as a runner... and running is proven to be good for mental health, so hopefully you won’t need to comfort eat soon. Enjoy your journey... you can do this.

Welcome to the challenge. This is a great start to gaining control and becoming the best version of you. Only been doing this for a few days but I’m making better choices about my food (I too comfort eat. Have put on a stone without realising it. Time to take control before the molehill turns into a mountain) and I already feel more in control and motivated. This forum is great for getting advice and support. I felt so nervous about the 1st run. It didn’t go quite to plan but getting out there and doing something made me feel so proud of myself. Small steps make a big difference. Keep going and good luck! You’ve got this! X

P.S as owmeknees and unfitnomore have already said - slow and steady. I’ve already learned that 1! Slowed down run 2 - way more successful and in turn more inspired to carry on.
