I’ve made a start!

It’s taken me a few years to even open the Couch to 5k app, let alone get on a treadmill .... but today I completed session 2 of Week 3!

I won’t say I’m enjoying it yet coz I find it hard going ... but it certainly hasn’t killed me yet! Half my family run marathons and I’m not confident enough to fail in front of them so I’m really doing this quietly! I’ve completed the Race For Life 5 times but I’ve always walked it .... this year I’m going to run all the way!

Congrats on starting the program. Many keep quiet at the beginning. After a while you will be shouting about it from rooftops! Just joking, but you won’t mind at all about people knowing you are a runner. You’ll be running the Race for Life this year!😊

ha ha, I can relate to some of this. I downloaded the App about a month before I started it. I am now on W4r2, so I guess we are sort of at the same point? Keep going, you are doing GREAT! Maybe think about telling your fam., my kids are sporty and are really supportive. I was quite embarrassed that I needed help to learn to run, but actually it's fine. Good Luck!

I got new running trainers and yesterday actually completed w3 r1 on my 8th attempt!!!!! I came home and told the husband and he so didn’t get it... I was hurt that he didn’t understand the enormity of it! He just said .... so u managed to run for 30 mins!!!! No ray! I managed to run for 3 mins!! Felt very silly!!!! Then put things into perspective and patted myself on my back for doing it! I will definitely show him! 🏃‍♀️
