If you feel fit enough just go and run the second run of week 6 which is the last run of C25K with interval walks and runs, however, if you are still not ready for that, do a little short jogging then repeat run 1 of week 6. The advice here is if you are off running for more than two weeks you should repeat a few shorter runs.

Good to hear you’re back. You shouldn’t have lost any fitness in two weeks of not running... and you would have had two days since the last run where your muscles were rebuilding and strengthening... so you’re either where you were on that last start line or a little stronger. You also have the advantage of fresh, well rested legs. I’d go at W6R2 and just take it really easy... give it 4/10 effort and maintain that kind of pace throughout.

I had a flu type thing and didn’t run for a couple of weeks, and then skiied for a week where I felt really well (the advantage of better fitness). So when I came back to running I just carried on where I left off, w7r3. It was hard, it took a couple of runs before I felt comfortable again and able to go anything other than my slowest and be very grateful for the end. On the third run I eventually felt comfortable and didn’t ache so much afterwards - lesson learnt, I should have started again at a point further back.

Common sense is easily overtaken by over confidence - I shall be more careful in future, I’m just relieved I didn’t injure myself, or give up because I thought it had got too hard.

Sound advice! Thanks 🙏. Think I’ll aim to repeat my last run 3 times this week.

I got up to week 5 and then was hit by the flu, have hardly been out at all this month. I’ve had to go back to week 3 and even that’s a bit hard!

Listsen to your body and if it’s hurting too much just repeat a few weeks until you feel back on track. I hate being back at week 3, my mind wants to run non stop but my body says otherwise.

Aww no. It’s hard I agree. Going to attempt to run later, will be taking your advice also. 😀

Good luck 😊 I’ve just re done w3d2 again and it was even harder thanks to the hot weather. One of my slowest runs ever! Doesn’t help that I don’t have any summer running gear. Really disheartening seeing my pace getting slower but i got out there and done it which is better than nothing!

Hope your run goes well, let us know how it goes
